Chicago Style Outlier | Creative Cutout

This style outlier was captured in the loop a few weeks back. I liked the neutral tones in the outfit and the combination of ankle boots and asymmetric cutout dress.

On another note, I realize that The STYLE OUTLIER is getting less love these days as I am focused on building my DIY fashion blog, HIGH on DIY. If you are looking for a creative fix for the weekend, check it out! There are fun and easy DIYs for necklaces, bracelets and many more.

Chicago Street Style | Piled Prints II

These street style looks were captured during the Lollapalooza weekend. I did not get to shoot at the actual event but I met these girls as they were heading to Grant Park for the concerts & I was on my way home from downtown. I loved the crazy prints in their outfits mixed with lace, leather, denim and fun jewelry. It reminded me of two girls I had photographed last fall

Chicago Street Style | Thrifted Type

This is Gnat and I spotted her on one of the 60 degree days last week. She is a fashion designer in the making and mostly loves to shop for thrifted pieces. I almost always wear skirts to work but I have been in a pants mode lately and her colorful pants really caught my eye. Every time I go back to India, I make sure to buy similar pants because they are so comfy especially during my 20 hour flights. What are some your most comfy outfits?

Chicago Street Style | Possible Patterns

Chicago Street Style FashionThis is Amber – a hair model here in Chicago and I spotted her on State Street. No doubt she is sporting a fun hairstyle – love the streaks of brown popping beneath her blond hair. I also liked how her dress with the geometric patterns were peeking out while she was walking by. It was a nice pop of color against all other neutral pieces. I also thought that wearing  sheer patterned tights with rugged military boots was also an interesting choice.
