This style outlier was shot at one of the art and craft festivals towards the end of summer. Loved the vintage cat-eye glasses and the cropped cable-knit sweater paired with a bright skirt/dress. You see some unique street styles at these type of fests so I have more reasons to attend these fairs besides looking at the art and shopping. To hunt the style outliers, I would usually alternate between walking around and sitting somewhere and watching people (and hopefully not looking too creepy!).

When I started photographing street style, it was quite intimidating in the beginning to approach a stranger on the street and ask if I can take a picture but I was very pleasantly surprised by the nice responses I got. In almost all instances, they get happy that I noticed their style or a certain detail in their outfit and of course, being able to photograph them also makes me happy. Win Win!

I shot these photographs one or two weeks ago. I love her accessories…the scarf, the cat-eye glasses, the chain bracelet make her casual outfit so much more interesting. What do you think?
